Affordable health care
Our top priority is affordable, universal health care. This means a public insurance
system that treats everyone the same; holds down prices; eliminates paperwork
waste and duplication of expensive equipment; and takes decision making out
of the hands of private insurance companies. The end result? Everyone is covered,
regardless of your work situation, and families pay less than before.
Prescription Drug Prices:
One important part of the health care crisis is runaway drug prices. We are
working to bring them down, both at the state level and the national level.
Living Wage jobs
In order for Northeast Minnesota to have a viable future, we need living wage
jobs to support families. We're working to require decent wages from subsidized
businesses, and encourage self-sustaining job growth through local-based smaller
businesses that are loyal to the community and want to treat their workers fairly.
We're all in this together!
Greater Minnesota Health
Care Coalition
In our efforts to win affordable health care for all, we are not alone! We are
part of a growing statewide group called the Greater Minnesota Health Care Coalition,
with whom we push for reforms at the state legislature, and also in Congress.
